Meeting Gulch for the first time today, I was feeling quite anxious, especially with the thought of my mischievous younger brother William tagging along. I opted for long-sleeved clothes and wore a mask, grateful that the current circumstances didn’t require an explanation for it.
We had agreed to meet at the park in front of my house, where Gulch arrived promptly after his painting class. I had learned from my mom that he had a deep passion for painting and basketball.
Gulch was a pretty and slender boy, with large, captivating eyes. He greeted me hesitantly, avoiding direct eye contact and seemed as though he might bolt at any moment. We settled onto the grass and started to paint, and I noticed how intensely focused he was on his art.
While we painted, I attempted to make small talk with Gulch, inquiring about his painting class and what sort of artwork he was creating. He didn’t speak much 。His mother also brought a lot of pens for him, and he liked to put them in a row. For a while I looked up and found that he ran next to the family there in a daze, I called him back, he seemed reluctant to go next to the attachment of the tree, ready to climb up, I began to worry, but still did not shout, just told him that I also draw dinosaurs, do you want to see
It was time for us to say goodbye, and as we packed up our supplies, Gulch looked at me with a newfound sense of confidence in his eyes. I couldn’t help but feel happy and hopeful as I walked back home.
Thinking about my younger brother William, I remembered the rubber dinosaur toy he loved to play with. It had been a while since he played with it, and I thought maybe I could bring it along the next time I saw Gulch.
